On Thursday 16th November, took place the III edition of recognition for socially responsible companies in the Baix Empordà.
The Regional Council of Baix Empordà, together with all the town councils of the region with the support of the Department of Enterprise and Labour and the Department of Equality and Feminism of the Generalitat of Catalonia, recognised all those companies that have stood out for carrying out responsible actions, for their contribution to the social and economic development of the territory and for the integration and promotion of employment during the months of January to October of this year.
These are some of the criteria taken into account:
- A good awareness for the recruitment of vulnerable groups.
- Cooperation with employment services or social services (hosting internships, collaboration activities with the Administration…).
- Involvement in the welfare of workers (work-life balance, equality, flexible working hours, training, etc.).
- Innovation and sustainability provide socially useful projects or for the environment.
Over the last few years, different awareness-raising, information and promotion actions have been carried out among all the companies, management companies and social organizations in the region in order to offer new job opportunities.
