The OPP – Organizació de Productors de Palamós will participate in the 29th edition of the Seafood Expo Global, which will take place at the Gran Via exhibition center of the Barcelona Fair from April 25 to 27.
The OPP wants to take this opportunity to present the project in a professional environment and sector, as is the SEAFOOD, which also coincides in dates with the upcoming opening of our fish workshop.
This project, which has been key for the OPP, will allow us to bring fresh, quality, local fish to schools and hospitals.
“For us, having this workshop is essential to being able to deliver fish prepared for cooking to communities near our area that do not currently consume this product, with the added benefit that it will allow us to promote local fish, especially those that are less valued or known. In this way we will achiimprove the fishermen’s economic retribution andmote the knowledge of their work and the local fish both environmentally and nutritionally” explains Miquel Mir, president of the OPP of Palamós.
This project is part of the PPiC 2022-2023 approved by the Directorate General of Maritime Policy and Sustainable Fisheries.
Seafood is the world’s seafood industry fair and this is the second year it is held in Barcelona, after it moved here in 2022 for its 28th edition. This event is an opportunity to put Palamós and our products on the world stage.
During the fair, you can find us at stand 2G501-8, where we will be offering information about the OPP and our work, the new bakery, the local products of Palamós and also the Gamba de Palamós Guarantee Mark, thanks to the collaboration of the Palamós Town Council and the Palamós Peix Project.
